Adventures in Clay: with Potter, Lolita Demers: Lolita Demers has been a clay artist for 47 years and art teacher for 39, she is a Brush Art Gallery studio artist and teaches classes in clay and fused glass. *Session 3 meets on Monday morning; This is a 2-day workshop, and meant to be taken as a pair/ On day 1, students will make a clay mug or vase using food safe clay and glazes. Students will learn hand building techniques such as slabs, coils and the pinch method and in day 2 they will paint and glaze their pieces. If you have ever worked in clay, you know wet clay must dry before it can be fired or baked, then it can be glazed and fired again to set the glaze. These classes are designed for ages 10 through 14. cost for both days of session 3 is $60 includes all materials. Parents will be asked to fill out an emergency and health form prior to the beginning of class.

Lolita Demers  is a clay artist / instructor and Brush Gallery studio artist with 40 years of teaching experience she teaches clay and fused glass.She is teaching an intro class in clay designed for ages 10 – 14
