Elizabeth Sheehan was originally a Boston based artist but now lives and shows her work in Lowell, MA. She graduated Eastern Nazarene College with a B.A. in English and Massachusetts College of Art with a B.F.A in Painting. She has had works in many galleries, benefits , and in Dorchester and Sommerville Studios, She also has her works in private collections. She is a colorist painter, who believes that color affects the physiological as well as the psychological state of the viewer. She likes to play with texture, using, salt,slate burlap, gold leaf and black and gold mica to make unusual textures and collages.She lastly likes use light and dark to create emotion and drama to her painting.
